Butterfly hatched!

On Wednesday our cacoon finally hatched. It was exciting watching the butterfly flap it's wings getting ready to fly away. You can see the cacoon in the photo. 

There are some cool videos of butterflies hatching on youtube you could ask an adult to show you.

Next week we will be starting a new storytelling focus on 'The very hungry caterpillar' so it was great to see a 'real' caterpillar go through this process.
