Thanks to all the whanau who came to visit today. It was lovely to share our learning.

Lily's puppy came for a visit.

Friday was a busy day with the firemen coming, gardening and a visit from Lily's new addition to the family... Baxter the puppy

The children got to use the fire hose. It was very exciting.

Garden work

At Discovery we enjoyed the lovely weather by digging the garden area. We worked hard digging up weeds and rocks. We are enjoying our gardening. Please share any ideas of what we can plant with your child.

We talked about ways of making 12

Room 10 buried rubbish from lunch boxes in October last year. We dug it up on Friday to see what had happened. All the apple core, banana skin and paper had disappeared when we dug it up in December but the plastic is still there now! It has taken nearly 1 year and it has not composted!
We showed Room 9 and Room 4 what we found. It reminds us not to let rubbish blow away from our lunch box or leave litter outside.

At Discovery we weeded the garden and begun digging ready to plant when the weather is warm enough.
We planted beans and peas to start off inside.
